BREAKING NEWS: All agriculture operations now certified organic

Caason Group is proud to announce that our agriculture farming operations are now Certified Organic across livestock, food & fodder, opening new markets and new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Aileron Pastoral Holdings and Ti Tree Food & Fodder each achieved Organic Certification from Southern Cross Certified last week.

For Aileron Pastoral Holdings, this is a significant milestone in its journey to expand and develop the operations of its Northern Territory cattle station. The station has endured the challenges of drought and a global pandemic. To now be awarded Organic status for livestock and pasture is a major achievement.

Caason Group CEO, Craig Astill praises that the team has worked tirelessly over the last four years to have the property recognised as an operation with strict organic standards without the use of banned chemicals or synthetic inputs.

“This success allows us to open new doors and opportunities, and to be able to cater to markets which were previously inaccessible without meeting the national standards required for Organic and Bio-Dynamic produce.”

The certified organic status achieved by Aileron is recognised in Australia, as well as by the USDA and complies with its National Organic Program (NOP), meaning there are new opportunities for Aileron in the United States market.

Aileron’s sister property, the Oolloo Hay Farm, has also received full Organic certification on all hay products from Southern Cross Certified. Oolloo is now an organic supplier of products including Rhodes grass hay, Lucerne and Oaten, all of which are currently under crop.

Caason Group is confident of the new fertilizer regime delivering enhanced crop performance and resulting in better soil conditions in 2023 and beyond. We expect to see improved protein and sugar levels in our crops and healthier soil conditions overall beginning as early as next year.

The results should also see a reduction in water and fuel use, further improving the financial performance of the operations.
